A lot of people have asked for more information on how to make this robot. I’m afraid a step by step tutorial is a little more than what can fit it a 10 minute video, as a lot of background in programming and wiring is needed.
However, it is not too hard to make a simple robot, and for those of you who wish to try, I recommend doing some quick research on PIC microcontroller projects. A great book that I have used is “PIC Microcontroller Project Book : For PIC Basic and PIC Basic Pro Compliers” by John Iovine.
The equipment used for programming was purchased from microEngineering Labs (http://melabs.com/)
A very simple programmable robot. The microcontroller is programmed to control the h-bridge, which runs the 2 motors attached to CDs. Designed, built and programmed by Jared Whitman.
